Our workshop at Checkpoint Charlie offers restoration, repair, bow rehair and sound adjustment on a very high level in the centre of Berlin. Among exclusive antique and contemporary instruments and bows we also offer student instruments and accessories for sale. We are looking forward for your visit!
Workshop

We offer everyday maintenance and repairs, including time-intensive restorations. It is our goal to stabilize the instrument and support an appealing aesthetic vision with a minimum possible disturbance of the original wood and varnish. Other areas of emphasis include an individual sound adjustment which is oriented toward the expectations and preferences of the musician. We also offer bow rehairs.

We offer you an extensive collection of finest contemporary and antique instruments and bows as well as student instruments. If you are curious about our collection which varies constantly, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Janine Wildhage

Janine Wildhage was born in Hannover and received accordeon and violin lessons in her childhood. She was trained as a violin-maker at the tradition-rich violin-making scuola “Antonio Stradivari” in Cremona, Italy as well as the workshop of Kevin Gentges and Felix Scheit in Berlin.
